Soup’s On! Lenten Program 2023

Join us for our Lenten Series this year from 5:30-6:30p March 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29th! Each night we will hear from a speaker from one of our community partners about the work they do in Lynchburg and beyond. Our featured organizations include Miller Home, Interfaith Outreach, Lynchburg Daily Bread, and Lynchburg Grows. We will start with a simple meal and fellowship, hosted by one of our own St. John’s families in Magill Hall. Meals will be sponsored by local restaurants and caterers including Peakland Catering, Avenue Foods, and Market at Main. No RSVP is required for our Lenten Dinners— come as you are!

Families: There will be nursery and activities for our children; if you’d like to help one night, you can sign up here! Finally, kids in 1st grade and up have a special opportunity to join our Lenten Choir at 5:00p in the choir room. If your child would like to try out singing but can’t commit to year-round choir, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Contact Peggy Haas Howell to sign up.

Our Schedule for Lent will be published here shortly. Please check your weekly update and social media each week to see who is up next!
