Lenten Program 2/28 Featuring Han Nolan

Wednesday, February 28th at 6pm is our second week of Blessed ART Thou: a Lenten program on Spirituality and the Arts. Dinner will be served promptly at 6:00 and our program will begin about 6:25. We will be joined local author and member of St. John’s, Han Nolan.

Han will be speaking about how she got started writing, her journey as a writer and how faith informs her writing. She will have a fun, easy, no fear writing activity. Don’t worry— nobody has to see what you’ve written.

Our meals are provided by Market at Main, and our sides and desserts by parishioners. There will be a kid friendly option for dinner (PB&J). Lalla will provide a children’s program and we will offer nursery for our youngest ones as well.

Han Nolan Biography

Han Nolan is the author of ten YA novels, including the National Book Award Winning Dancing on the Edge. Other awards and honors include, National Book Award finalist, People’s Choice, New York Public Library Best Books, ALA best books, Library Guild Best Books, Alabama Library Assoc. best YA novel of the year. Her novel Crazy was performed at the Kennedy Center under the title of Jason Invisible. Her books have been translated into several languages. She teaches writing in the Hollins University Children’s Literature Graduate studies program.
