Advent Morning Prayer
Morning Prayer: Monday-Friday, December 2-24
We invite you to join us this Advent for Morning Prayer. Morning Prayer is a service of daily prayer including Scripture readings, Psalms, canticles, and intercessory prayer. This format is an expanded version of what we experienced in the prayer challenge, and it is available via Zoom at 8:00am each weekday (M-F December 2-24). Join us every day, one day a week, or as you are able. The church prays together not only on Sunday, but in a rhythm of daily prayer that goes back to our Jewish ancestors and our early Christian roots. These prayers are old, yet timely; in gathering to pray together daily we learn to shape our own prayer lives.
How does it work? Each weekday morning during Advent and Lent, we gather on Zoom for Morning Prayer, Rite Two. The officiant will screen-share the text and ask for a volunteer to read the scripture lessons. You read the prayers along with the speaker and listen to the readings. We ask you to participate muted, unless requested to un-mute, that way we can ensure maximum audio quality for those on the Zoom. Morning Prayer is offered Monday-Friday at 8:00a via Zoom below (December 4-December 22).
